AUTOMATION​

Automation projects support businesses in introducing automation technology into their business processes. Project outcomes include enhancing productivity growth and maximising cost savings.

What would an Automation Project look like? 

The Project scope could include: 

  1. Adoption of automation solutions and automation tools to strengthen business capabilities.

  2. Equip workers with relevant skills to ensure automation readiness.

What Kind of Items and or/ Activities are Not Supported By the EDG Grant?

  1. Costs which are irrelevant to the project such as set-up costs needed to start a business.

  2. Cost of necessary devices or equipment such as laptops and mobile phones.

  3. Cost of equipment and software which have been covered by the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG).

What is The Funding Support Level? 

Enterprise Singapore is providing a maximum support level of 80% for costs for SMEs  and 60% of qualified costs for Non-SMES from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2022.

​

Note: As part of Budget 2021, eligible businesses can apply for the 100% Investment allowance for the costs of qualifying equipment, capped at S$10 million per project. This scheme aims to cover the project cost of large-scale automation solutions for businesses and is available until 31 March 2023.

 

Businesses can indicate their interest in the investment allowance when applying for the EDG. Applications will be reviewed by Enterprise Singapore.

*Overview for Project Application:

  • You will need to submit a solid business plan that showcases sound financial management.

  • It is preferred if you have a good plan for human capital development.

  • A plan for your company's sustainable growth is ideal.

  • A credible service provider &/or certified management consultant is required (with Enterprise Singapore-recognised Certification)

  • Be prepared to submit documents such as your financial statements from the previous year.

  • Application is to be done on the Business Grants Portal.
