MERGERS & ACQUISITIONS (M&A)​

Project outcomes include helping businesses expand through mergers & acquisitions. This can consist of the planning process, evaluating potential merger or acquisition targets and assistance after the Merger/Acquisition occurs.

How would a Mergers and Acquistions Project look like? 

The project scope could include: 

Formulating mergers & acquisitions strategies that would enable growth of the business. 

  • Evaluating the viability of the Mergers & Acquisitions through market research.

  • Evaluating acquisition targets.

  • Estimation of a company's current value.

  • Devise a strategic plan to ensure sustainability of the post-merger business entity, focusing on organisation culture, employees and business processes.

What Kind of Items and or/ Activities are Not Supported By the EDG Grant?

  1. Activities that result from the closing of a Mergers or Acquisition transaction such as the drafting of contracts or cost of acquisition. 

  2. Costs not relevant to the project such as internal manpower cost or asset purchases.

What is The Funding Support Level? 

The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) funds up to 50% of qualifying costs for SMEs, and up to 30% of qualifying costs for non-SMEs.

Overview for Project Application:

  • You will need to submit a solid business plan that showcases sound financial management.

  • It is preferred if you have a good plan for human capital development.

  • A plan for your company's sustainable growth is ideal.

  • A credible service provider &/or certified management consultant is required (with Enterprise Singapore-recognised Certification)

  • Be prepared to submit documents such as your financial statements from the previous year.

  • Application is to be done on the Business Grants Portal.
